\n\t\tAsociaci\u00f3n Nacional de Acci\u00f3n Comunitaria\n\t<\/h1>\n\t

CAVC is Ventura County’s chapter of the National Community Action Partnership (NCAP). NCAP was established under the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964 by President Lyndon B. Johnson as a part of the War on Poverty. Aided by advocacy by Civil Rights leaders such as Dr. Martin Luther King, NCAP established Community Action agencies across the country to fight poverty in every community in our country.<\/p>\n

NCAP is a national 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides crucial resources to its member Community Action Agencies, all of whom are funded by the federal government’s Community Services Block Grant. All 1,100 Community Action Agencies work to eradicate poverty and support every community throughout the United States.<\/p>\n
