APPLYING FOR A SEAT ON THE BOARD
Community Action of Ventura County Inc. (CAVC) is a nonprofit community action agency helping people through programs that promote dignity through self-sufficiency with the aid of private businesses and individuals with federal, state and local support.
CAVC has a Tripartite Board. The makeup of the board consists of one-third elected public officials or their representatives, one-third from the low-income sector or their representatives, and the remainder officials or members representing private sector organizations such as business, industry, social service or nonprofit entities.

If you are interested in serving on the CAVC Board of Directors, to represent the low-income population of Ventura County, please check the following districts for your area of residence. If CAVC is recruiting for board members in your district, you can download an application.

Public sector board members are appointed by the Ventura County Board of Supervisors and are confirmed by the CAVC Board of directors.
